Battle of South Guangxi

The engagement involved substantial forces on both sides, with China fielding 150,000 troops under Bai Chongxi and Zhang Fakui against a Japanese force of 100,000 under Rikichi Andō and Seiichi Kuno. The recorded casualty figures are notably asymmetric: China sustained approximately 1,939 casualties while Japan suffered 23,349, suggesting the engagement imposed a significant attrition cost on Japanese forces in the Guangxi theater.
