The East Pomeranian Offensive was a Soviet Red Army operation conducted against German Wehrmacht forces in Pomerania and West Prussia between February and April 1945. Commanded by Konstantin Rokossovsky's 2nd Belorussian Front against German forces under Walter Weiß and Dietrich von Saucken, the operation engaged nearly one million Soviet troops and resulted in over 234,000 Soviet casualties, indicating sustained and costly fighting across the region.
