The Battle of Sans Culottes Camp was a Spanish offensive action along the Pyrenean front during the War of the Pyrenees, fought near the France–Spain border in the vicinity of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. A Spanish force of 13,000 under José de Urrutia attacked part of the French Army of the Western Pyrenees. The assault succeeded in seizing two key positions behind the Bidasoa River but failed to carry the main French position, Sans Culottes Camp, after an eight-hour engagement. Spain suffered 335 casualties to France's 235, reflecting the cost of the inconclusive push. The inability to overrun the principal French position left the local balance on the western Pyrenean front effectively unchanged, limiting the operational gain from the day's action to the two captured forward positions.
