The Battle of Dwarsvlei in the Second Boer War (1899–1902) was fought by Boer and British forces on 11 July 1900 in the district of Krugersdorp, South African Republic. The action at Dwarsvlei was part of Koos de la Rey's new guerrilla strategy and coincided with the battles at Silkaatsnek and Onderstepoort on the same day of 11 July 1900.

Significance

The Battle of Dwarsvlei, fought on 11 July 1900 in the Krugersdorp district of the South African Republic, was one of several concurrent engagements that marked the Boer transition to guerrilla warfare under Koos de la Rey's strategy.
