The Battle of Domokos was an Ottoman victory over Greek forces in the Greco-Turkish War of 1897, fought between an Ottoman force of approximately 45,000 and a Greek force of approximately 40,000. The outcome proved consequential beyond the battlefield: the scale of the defeat prompted European powers to intervene diplomatically on behalf of Greece, halting further Ottoman advances into Greek territory. This intervention effectively ended active campaigning, making Domokos the decisive engagement that closed the war's ground phase.
