The Battle of Caseros ended the rule of Juan Manuel de Rosas over the Argentine Confederation. The opposing coalition brought together the Argentine provinces of Entre Ríos and Corrientes alongside the Empire of Brazil and Uruguay, representing a broad regional alignment against Rosas. Argentine Confederation casualties reached approximately 8,500, reflecting the scale of the defeat. The engagement effectively dissolved Rosas's authority and restructured political power across the Río de la Plata region, closing the extended conflict that had drawn in multiple neighboring states during the Uruguayan Civil War.
