Brigadier-General Sir Henry Montgomery Lawrence was a Bengal Army officer, surveyor and colonial administrator. He is known for leading a group of British officials in the Punjab known as Henry Lawrence's "Young Men", founding the Lawrence Military Asylums and for dying at the siege of Lucknow during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
