The Tartu Offensive was a Soviet operation fought over southeastern Estonia in 1944, pitting the Soviet 3rd Baltic Front under Ivan Maslennikov against elements of the German Army Group North under Jürgen Wagner. The engagement was part of the broader Soviet effort on the Eastern Front to push German forces out of the Baltic region.
