Battle context
Operation Swath-10 was a Croatian Army offensive against the SAO Western Slavonia Territorial Defense Forces on Bilogora Mountain in western Slavonia, conducted from 31 October to 4 November 1991. The Croatian victory directly enabled follow-up operations on Papuk Mountain, culminating in Operation Papuk-91 in late November and December. By the end of 1991 the Croatian Army had secured control of Papuk, which restored transport routes linking eastern Slavonia with the rest of Croatia — a strategically significant gain at a moment when Croatian territorial control remained contested across much of the country.
