The Battle of Parkumäki was fought on July 21, 1789, during the Russo-Swedish War of 1788–1790, a conflict initiated by Gustav III of Sweden. A Swedish force of approximately 1,300 troops under Curt von Stedingk engaged a Russian force of around 1,500 and secured a victory.
