The Battle of Alegría de Álava was a Carlist victory during the First Carlist War, fought at a field in Chinchetru near Alegría-Dulantzi in Álava, Spain. The engagement brought together prominent Carlist commanders Tomás de Zumalacárregui and Manuel Iturralde against Liberal (Isabelino/Cristino) forces under Manuel O'Doyle. The victory contributed to the broader Carlist effort to consolidate control in the Basque region during the early phase of the war, a period in which Zumalacárregui was establishing the Carlist forces as a capable fighting force in the north.
