The Battle of Agua Carta, also known as the Battle of Lindo Lugar, was an engagement between the National Guard of Nicaragua and Sandinista rebels under Augusto César Sandino during the prolonged American occupation of Nicaragua. Fought near Mount Kilambe along the Agua Carta river, the battle took place within territory held by Sandino's forces and formed part of the broader counterinsurgency effort that characterized the later stages of the 1926–1927 civil war and its aftermath. The engagement reflected the ongoing difficulty of dislodging Sandino's movement from its regional strongholds, as National Guard forces under Lewis Puller and William A. Lee operated with a force of 150 men in terrain closely associated with Sandinista control.
